# Harborne and Quinton pedestrian wait and crossing times

**Tired of waiting forever, then rushing to get across? Join our campaign to update pedestrian wait and crossing times across Harborne and Quinton**

Everyone should be able to get from A to B in a safe, direct and timely manner. Be it on foot, mobility scooter, bike or in a vehicle.

In Harborne and Quinton, crossings leave active travel users out in the rain, favouring motorised through traffic. Crossing times are very short: the lights quickly flash and drivers edge across stop lines before you have crossed the road.

We want to make the existing infrastructure better for everyone. We are taking an inventory of Harborne and Quinton’s pedestrian crossings. This will help us to find out exactly which crossings need updating. We will compile a list for our local councillors to request changes. The best bit is it’s free and easy for the councillors to request!

**We need your help to collect information by 6 January 2023.**

We are collecting information about:

- Wait time from pressing the button to when the green man appears.
- Crossing time from when the green man appears until it starts flashing.
- Notes about the crossing, for example, if there is a bus stop, school or elderly residence nearby. This supports the case for shorter waiting and longer crossing times.
